HORSES.SALE

Understanding Publication Settings

Section: For sellers

HORSES.SALE allows you to control how your horse is presented — from fully public listings to private, password-protected pages.

You can choose your publication settings during the listing process on the Publication step.

Available publication options

1. Publish on HORSES.SALE. You can select one of the following options:
Public listings - Your horse is visible to all visitors of the HORSES.SALE marketplace. Maximum reach, minimum privacy.
Closed database - Your horse is visible only to registered paid buyers. This option helps you avoid unnecessary inquiries and focus on serious clients.
All listings are moderated and typically reviewed within 24 hours. If a listing does not meet the requirements, it may be rejected and can be updated and resubmitted.

2. Business page. Your horse is published on your Business Page, which serves as your professional showcase. You can share the page directly with clients or embed it into your own website.

3. Private sales. With this option enabled, your horse is not published publicly. Instead, HORSES.SALE may act as an intermediary to connect you with verified buyers. In such cases, a commission fee may apply to successful transactions, based on a separate agreement.

You can select multiple publication options at the same time. For example, your horse can be visible on the marketplace and on your Business Page simultaneously. You can read more about our approach here.

After creating a listing, you can update its publication settings: on the edit page or directly from the horse card (2).

Direct access and privacy

By default, each horse listing has a public URL. Even if all publication options are turned off, the page is still accessible via a direct link — but it cannot be discovered unless you share it.

For additional privacy, you can restrict access using the Password feature.
